ADMINISTRATORS acting for collapsed pub company Maclay Group have appointed licensed trade specialists CDLH to find a buyer for its 15 units.

The move comes as Ernst & Young (EY) confirmed significant interest has been shown in the pubs, which include The Three Judges in Glasgow, The Rule in St Andrews and Balloch's Tullie Inn.

A spokesman for EY said it was too early to say whether the outlets will be sold as a package, in bundles or as individual units. He also said no timescale as been set by EY for the administration process.

EY confirmed on Friday that four redundancies had been made at Maclay Group's Alloa headquarters. This followed the transfer of a management contract that subsidiary Maclay Inns held with Thistle Pub Company III to LT Pub Management Limited.

Maclay Inns had run the seven freehold pubs owned by Thistle III under contract until January 23, the day Maclay Group entered administration citing an "unexpected funding requirement".
