Airports hit by leap year

TWO of Scotland's biggest airports have reported a drop in passenger numbers, largely because February this year had a day less than last year.

Aberdeen and Edinburgh airports said the leap year effect had a major bearing on the drop in numbers reported by both last month.

Glasgow Airport had a slight rise but its figures were adjusted to reflect the calendar anomaly.
