AMEC £68m contract win

AMEC, the listed oil services and engineering company, has won a £68 million contract to help install facilities for use on the Clair Ridge field, west of Shetland.

The company said the deal will cover work on two bridge-linked platforms, which include production, accommodation and drilling facilities, plus subsea pipelines connected to existing export systems. It said the platforms are due to be installed in 2015.

Separately, Faroe Petroleum said drilling operations have started on the Darwin exploration well in the Barents Sea.
