Application for distillery

A PLANNING application has been lodged to build a new distillery on Islay.

Jean and Martine Donnay, of France, have applied to Argyll & Bute Council to build a microdistillery at Gartbreck Farm, Bowmore, on the site of a former dairy farm.

The pair already own and run a microdistillery in Brittany, Glann Ar Mor, which was developed in former farm buildings.
