ARRIA NLG has signed a two-year licensing deal with an unnamed financial services business based in Australia.

Arria's software, based on research spun-out of Aberdeen University to turn complex data into readable language, will be integrated into the global financial services firm's research and reporting tools for staff and clients.

The Arria natural language generation team in its Sydney development centre, led by chief technology officer Robert Dale, will be working on the contract.

AIM-listed Arria already has agreements with oil companies Shell and BG Group, the Met Office and with agricultural data firm Farmlink.
