TIDAL power company Atlantis Resources has completed a deal to buy Marine Current Turbines from Siemens.
While MCT is based in Bristol its new owner intends to set up a turbine assembly facility at the Nigg yard in Ross-shire.
The new site will be used in support of the MeyGen tidal power project which Atlantis is developing in the Pentland Firth.
Siemens has taken a near ten per cent stake in AIM-listed Atlantis as part of the MCT transaction.
