Babcock's in line for rail job

BABCOCK International, which runs Rosyth dockyard, has been appointed preferrred bidder to do £200m track work for Network Rail in three areas including Scotland.

The company said the five year work schemes form part of their £375m plain-line track renewals programme. Babcock will also work on track in Wales and Wessex.
