THE chief executive of C&C Group, owner of Tennent's Lager, has seen his base salary remain unchanged at £585,000 (€736,034) in the year ended February 28.

But Stephen Glancey saw his overall remuneration package drop to €980,000 from €1.14 million, according to the group's annual report.

The salaries of finance director Kenny Neison and Joris Brams, managing director of the firm's international division, were also unchanged, at £420,000 (€528,435) and €366,160 respectively.

Mr Neison saw the value of his overall package narrow to €703,000 from €816,000, while Mr Brams' dropped to €401,000 from €540,000.

None of the three executives earned an annual bonus or benefited from long-term incentives last year.

The fees paid to chairman Sir Brian Stewart were unchanged at €230,000.
