Bottling plant key to distillers' expansion

Burn Stewart Distillers, which makes Bunnahabhain, Tobermory and Deanston whiskies, hopes to have its new £500,000 bottling line open early next year.

Installation of the equipment at the company's East Kilbride plant has been pencilled in over the generally quieter Christmas production period.

Andy Calder, sales director, said: "That will be operational shortly after January and will improve our efficiencies. It will accelerate production and improve the quality of our brands."
