George Morrison Ltd, an Inverness-based building contractor and kitchen retailer, has been placed into liquidation, after the company suffered trading challenges amid the economic downturn.
All 18 of the company's employees have been made redundant.
The company appointed Derek Forsyth of accountancy firm Campbell Dallas to act as provisional liquidator of the family-run business, which had been operating for more than 45 years.
Mr Forsyth said directors had worked tirelessly to keep the business going.
