Campbell & Kennedy, the Glasgow-based group celebrating its 60th anniversary, has widened its core installations contract with Sky TV.

One of Sky Homes's leading agents in Scotland, C&K will now provide Sky Communal TV installations in Edinburgh, Galashiels and Northern Ireland

The group will now operate throughout Scotland (except Dumfries & Galloway) to enable residents to subscribe to Sky TV and other services.

The company says the expansion of its network highlights its delivery of promises and compliance with industry standards in everything from customer service to health and safety.

Gerry Kennedy, managing director , said: "We have been working with Sky for over 12 years and are delighted that we are now an even bigger partner to Sky Homes. We've successfully gathered together individuals with a vast knowledge and experience in the industry that we serve, as well as the right attitude to get the job done."

Brendan Hegarty, head of Sky Homes & Independent Retail (BskyB), said the group's agents were often the face of the company, and he looked forward to the continuing relationship. C&K was founded in 1953 by Tom Kennedy and Robert Campbell to undertake domestic TV and radio installations in and around the Glasgow area in the early days of television.

Gerry Kennedy, who took over in 1999, landed the Sky agency in 2000 then formed the Total Support Group (TSG) – now one of the UK's largest independent system service networks.

Since 2011 he has steered the business into new areas including green energy installations, fire protection and electrical contracting.

Clients include Morris and Spottiswood, Keepmoat, Fujitsu, Sky Homes and several local authorities and housing associations.

The group is now one of the UK's leading solar PV installation companies and was recently appointed to supply and instal photovoltaic solar panels for four high schools across Renfrewshire.
