DEFENCE contractor Chemring Group is to sell its European munitions business to France's state-owned Nexter Systems for up to £167.8 million.
Chemring said it would use the proceeds from the deal, which will see it offload Belgian firm Mecar and Italy based Simmel, to reduce its debt to about £128m.
