PLEXUS Holdings, the Aberdeen-based well technology firm, has won a contract worth around £600,000 from a Portuguese oil and gas firm.

Aim-listed Plexus will supply wellhead equipment to Galp Energia for use in its exploration activity off Morocco. The contract is the first Plexus Holdings has won from Galp, which has extensive interests in Africa. Chief executive Ben Van Bilderbeek said the win would strengthen Plexus Holdings' position in Africa and predicted the company would continue to build market share outside its North Sea stronghold.
