BARR Construction has been brought under the McLaughlin & Harvey banner, seven years after it was acquired by the Northern Irish-based firm.

McLaughlin & Harvey said the move creates a UK-wide operator with a combined turnover of more than £400 million and hopes to add jobs. Philip Cheevers, chairman of Barr Holdings and managing director of McLaughlin & Harvey, said: "This is a positive move which allows us to bring all of the expertise of the wider group under the same umbrella."
