Dumbarton Credit Union has received a £50,000 grant from the Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund.
It is one of 17 credit unions across the UK to receive a grant, following the bank's commitment last year to set up the fund to deliver £4m of support over four years. The fund's independent committee is making large awards between £50,000 and £100,000 and seed funding awards between £10,000 and £20,000. Dumbarton is one of 12 to receive a large award, intended to provide a contribution to a credit union's reserves and help remove barriers to growth and innovation.
