THE Crowne Plaza in Glasgow has been sold to Marathon Asset Management as part of a portfolio of 11 QMH UK hotels worth £135 million.

The portfolio was offloaded by Goldman Sachs, which bought the then Queens Moat House group in 2004, and concludes an auction process kicked off by Christie & Co in February.

The deal spans about 2,000 bedrooms in hotels around the UK trading under the Holiday Inn, Best Western and Crowne Plaza brands.
