THE five-star Cameron House Hotel at Loch Lomond has changed hands in a deal with QHotels, owner of the Westerwood hotel and golf resort near Glasgow.

QHotels, which has 21 hotels, said it would be "business as usual" at Cameron House with no management changes.

The Cameron House luxury lodges are included in the deal, which yesterday saw six former De Vere hotels and three lodges sold to the Leeds-based group.

Michael Purtill, managing director, said: "We will be working with each hotel on an individual basis to ensure we build on the best of what they have to offer and complementing this with our experience and expertise. This will help to maximise the conference and events potential of each hotel, while strengthening our portfolio in terms of a wider offering."
