DELL has underlined its commitment to Scotland by signing a 10-year lease at the sprawling City Park building in Glasgow's east end.
The US technology giant, which was the original anchor tenant at the commercial hub, has committed to leasing 54,518 square foot of office space on the second floor of the building. Dell employs more than 550 staff at the site.
And in a further boost for City Park, call centre giant Webhelp UK has announced it is to move its full Glasgow operation to the building.
The company, whose 58 global locations include six in Scotland, has agreed a five-year deal to lease 35,000 sq ft on the building's first floor. It plans to relocate all 800 staff from Atlantic Quay to City Park by March this year, having negotiated extra car parking to meet its needs.
The lettings come after significant investment was made in the building by asset manager APAM, including the refurbishment of the entrance hall and reception. A nursery will open in the building soon, joining a café, shop, barbers and physiotherapist already trading in the premises.
APAM executive director William Powell said: "I am delighted Dell remains committed to Scotland and importantly to City Park. It is a significant agreement and alongside Webhelp UK's decision to re-locate, the deals are a major coup for us.
"It proves City Park is going from strength to strength as a key business location in Scotland."
