EIGHT companies have signed leasing agreements with UK retail and leisure developer Sovereign Land to start trading in the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow.

Recent signings include comfort footwear retailer Pavers, affordable clothing seller West Coast, outdoor clothing and footwear chain Rohan, women's plus-size clothing shop Taking Shape, retail foreign exchange provider No1 Currency and Beautiful Nails Parlour.

Joining the food court are American-themed restaurant Ed's Easy Diner and soft drinks chain Mooboo.

The agreements bring the number of new lettings since the centre's acquisition, in October last year, to 16. Sovereign Land, which also owns Ayr Central Shopping Centre, additionally highlighted that lease extensions have been agreed with retailers including Hamleys.

Paul Bailey, leasing and asset manager at Sovereign Land, said: "Since acquiring the centre a year ago, St Enoch has progressed significantly and now attracts around 20 million shoppers a year. These new lettings are great additions to our already-strong retailer line up and further enhance the centre's focus on families and young fashion."

He also said a further five lettings have been agreed, "highlighting the undoubtable appeal of the centre for retailers and shoppers".
