SHARES in FirstGroup were up nearly seven per cent in late trading after the Scottish bus and rail company delighted the City with a solid trading update.
The company signalled continuing progress with efforts to boost the performance of its First Student school bus business in the US and its UK bus business.
It also reported strong growth in passenger revenues in its UK rail business.
