G1 boosted by 20% rise in turnover to hit £59.3m

G1 Group, founded and owned by Stefan King, pictured, has reported a 20% rise in turnover to £59.3 million with a 38.9% increase in pre-tax profit to £6.5m.

The leisure company, which owns venues including The Corinthian in Glasgow, said existing operations performed strongly while acquisitions – such as Edinburgh buys like Biddy Mulligans and The Three Sisters – also did well.

The group's net assets increased by £3.2m to £34.6m in the 12 months to March 31, 2012.
