Construction group Galliford Try grew its housebuilding sales 7% to £460 million in the last quarter after an encouraging autumn selling season.
Its construction order book remained stable at £1.6 billion and it won a number of key projects across the south west of Scotland.
Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive, said: "Our housebuilding and construction divisions have made a good start to the financial year."
