SALES of new Xbox and PlayStation models have helped video games retailer Game Digital swing to an annual profit, two years after it was rescued from administration.

The group reported pre-tax profits of £7.3 million for the 52 weeks ending July 26, after a £15.4m loss for the same period a year before.

Revenues were up 31 per cent to £861.8m and were also helped by sales of the latest version of the Grand Theft Auto game.
