GLACIER Energy Services has made it sixth acquisition since forming in 2011 by buying Aberdeen's MSL Heat Transfer.

Aberdeen-based Glacier said the seven figure deal will boost its heat transfer division, as well as complement Ross Offshore, the heat exchanger repair and refurbishment firm it acquired in 2013.

MSL's 12 core staff will remain in place further to the deal, alongside the founder Len Hubert.

Glacier has now rationalised the six businesses under its umbrella into four divisions focused on its core capabilities.

Executive chairman Scott Martin said: "Our divisions provide vital engineering services in support of major capex and opex projects - specialist services vital to the safe operation of assets and energy infrastructure globally."
