The Big Partnership, Scotland's biggest independent PR agency, has relocated its headquarters in Glasgow to Fountain House, Charing Cross, after seven years in Park Circus.

The move, which involved a £250,000 fit-out, concludes a national round of investment in new offices in Aberdeen and Edinburgh as well as the opening of a new office in Liverpool.

The agency said it had the capacity to "increase significantly" its 98-strong workforce over the coming decade to help service increasing demand.

However it also announced yesterday the departure of the head of its Edinburgh operation Nicki Sturzaker, who joined from London three years ago.

Big has more than 300 clients, and is ranked 23rd in the top 50 UK consumer consultancies, the only Scottish agency to make the PR Week list.

Alex Barr, a founding director, said: "2013 is shaping up to be an important year. We see increased revenues and positive prospects. By committing to a permanent operation in the north-west of England we are targeting significant growth in the next three to five years as we look to increase our presence across the UK."

He said Ms Sturzaker had left to pursue a different strategic direction in her career.
