JIM McColl's Clyde Blowers Capital has launched a global search for senior management to run the former Ferguson's shipyard, which it acquired from administrators last week.

Glasgow-based Clyde Maritime Recruitment has been given a remit to find a managing director, senior managers and a naval architect for Ferguson Marine Engineering, and has already received enquiries from abroad.

Clyde Blowers said it plans to create 80 jobs within 10 weeks when it took over on Friday.

It has already re-hired 30 former employees, with 40 more under contract to start in November.
