Iomart invests in network

CLOUD computing specialist Iomart has made a multimillion-pound investment in an optical fibre network for its six UK data centres.

The AIM-listed business said the upgrade – covering sites in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Maidenhead, Nottingham and Leicester – gives it total control of its network.

Angus MacSween, Iomart chief executive, said: "Customers on our network will have the fastest connections allowing them to move huge amounts of data at the highest speeds wherever they are located."
