Motor company Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has had its best ever September.

The company sold 43,181 vehicles last month, which was up 17% on the 2012 total for the same month.

Jaguar sales soared 35% to 8462 last month, while Land Rover sales rose 13% to 34,719. Jaguar sales have already outstripped purchases for the whole of 2012.

For the year so far, JLR sales are up 16% at 312,834 with Asia Pacific up 29%, China up 24%, North America up 17%, the UK up 15% and Europe up 5%.
