Johnston Press has commented on speculation that it will launch a rights issue next month.
A report at the weekend claimed the Edinburgh-based publisher was looking to raise at least £75 million in new equity from shareholders as it refinances its £300m of debt. Johnston confirmed yesterday it was considering options "including a potential equity raising".
