KIER Group has highlighted contract wins for its construction division in Scotland as the company said it was on track to meet its expectations for the current financial year.

The company reported positive progress across its core property, construction residential and services disciplines in the period since July 1, noting good visibility in its order books.

Work in the pipeline for its construction and services arms increased in value to £6.3 billion from £6.2bn in June. Kier also pointed to an order book of £3.7bn in services, excluding potential contract extensions worth more than £2bn, and was recently appointed to deliver two schools in Ayrshire as part of the Hub South-West Scotland framework.

Brian McQuade, managing director of Kier construction in Scotland, said: "We have won a number of significant new contracts recently and our order books remain healthy."
