Latest employee-owned firm

DAVID Narro Associates (DNA), the structural and civil engineering firm with 30 staff in Glasgow and Edinburgh, has become Scotland's latest employee-owned business.

The move was made by owner David Narro to safeguard the future of the company he founded in 1986 as he prepares to retire in five years.

Eighty per cent of the shares have been sold to staff via an Employee Ownership Trust, with the rest to be made available to staff under a share incentive plan.
