Group profits grew 2.8% to £3.8m with profit per partner increasing from £136,338 to £155,038 in the 12 months to March 31, 2012.
The private client practice was up 9.7% while corporate was 8.6% ahead thanks to a greater level of deals activity in the north-east of Scotland.
The firm, which includes subsidiary Golden Square Wealth Management, said its costs were static at £6.2m with staff numbers also steady at 143.
Last month Ledingham Chalmers merged with Aberdeen boutique Esslemont Cameron & Gauld to further boost its private client arm.
Jennifer Young, chairwoman of the firm, said it had been approached over other merger deals and had an open mind on future opportunities.
She said: "We recognise that we cannot stand still, in terms of how we organise and manage our business, and how we maintain and increase our market share.
"We have ridden the storm of the last few years pretty well so we know there is some value in terms of what we are doing.
"We are not interested in growth just for the sake of being bigger and are being fairly canny in what we are looking at.
"For us it has to provide the right sort of platform and it has to be compatible as we strongly value the culture here.
"We are still the size where we can be fairly flexible and fleet of foot when opportunities arise."
In February, Ledingham Chalmers opened an office at the United Auctions Stirling Agriculture Centre to mirror its presence at the Thainstone mart at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
Ms Young said she was pleased with how the first few months of trading have gone at the new location and she hopes it will act as a platform to grow the firm's presence in farming, food, fish, forestry and the renewable energy sector.
She said: "We were not expecting to set the heather alight and we are looking at the longer term potential.
"But just by being there we have seen gains but certainly the team servicing the work there have seen an upturn in levels of instruction and we are building good relationships with other professionals based at the mart."
The firm has its main offices in Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh.
