Brainpower and spending power are set to collide in May next year at the Informatics Ventures "Engage Invest Exploit" forum in Edinburgh.
Run in conjunction with the Scottish Investment Bank, Edinburgh BioQuarter and the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, it's the only showcase where Scottish start-ups get the chance to impress investors from around the world. The keynote speaker is Sir Brian Souter.
Since it started in 2008, EIE has been a springboard to more than £30 million of investment in early-stage Scots firms, including sports game firm FanDuel, financial software company Money Dashboard and energy specialist Celtic Renewables.
Gordon Stuart of Informatics Ventures said: "This is the only event of its kind around for Scottish information technology, life sciences and energy companies which have the ambition to be the next Skyscanner, and offers a tremendous opportunity to pitch to some of the world's best-known investors in early-stage companies."
