M & C Energy, the former McKinnon & Clark business based in Fife, has reported a £4.1m reversal in operating profit in accounts just lodged at Companies House.

Turnover fell from £22.7m in the 18months to the end of 2012 to £14m in calendar year 2013, while a £2.8m operating profit slid to a £1.3m loss. The directors say that apart from the shorter period, the fall was due to restructuring the business to bring it into line with parent Schneider Electric Group.
