Marine firm's offshoot buoyant

MARINE equipment company Motive Offshore's Norwegian arm has performed ahead of expectations in its first year.

The Aberdeenshire-based firm expects turnover to surpass a target of five million Norwegian Krone, around £490,000, for the Motive Offshore Services AS offshoot it set up last October. Now it is anticipated the Stavanger division will double turnover in its second 12 months. Motive, which employs 100 people, supplies winches, umbilicals and other subsea equipment.
