Maven Capital Partners has said its £18 million Venture Capital Trust (VCT) offers are fully subscribed, three months since launch and around three months ahead of the scheduled closing date.

The Glasgow-based manager said its generalist offer was the first of its kind to close during the current VCT season, its five income and growth trusts generating significant demand from investors.

Bill Nixon, managing partner, said almost 1000 investors had subscribed. "In an environment of continuing low interest rates for savers, and reduced scope for pension contributions, VCTs continue to offer investors exposure to something interesting and different, as part of their overall portfolio."
