McColl dismisses triple A doubts

ENTREPRENEUR Jim McColl has dismissed claims Scotland would not have a triple A credit rating as "mischievous speculation".

Recent reports suggested an independent Scotland would be unable to rely on receiving the same AAA level as the UK.

However, the three top ratings agencies – Moody's, Standard and Poor's, and Fitch – have not commented as they do not do speculative ratings and Holyrood has not asked for a draft opinion.
