McGill's buys rival company for £3m

MCGILL'S Bus Service is investing around £3 million to acquire Loch Lomond Bus Services, which trades as McColl's.

The deal involves privately owned McGill's buying the Dumbarton depot of McColl's plus 30 buses.

All 35 staff at McColl's will be offered jobs by the new owners.

Existing services across towns such as Alexandria, Helensburgh and Clydebank will be rebranded to McGill's from December 10.
