Minoan progresses in bid to develop Rhodes resort

SHARES in travel company Minoan Group surged more than 10% after it negotiated the first phase of a tender process for the development of an upmarket resort on the Greek island of Rhodes.

The Glasgow company is one of six bidders in the next part of the tender, run by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund.

The site in the Afantou area includes seven kilometres of coastline and is slated for hotels, a golf course and summer homes.
