Minoan project fast tracked

MINOAN Group has had its multi-million-pound resort development project in Crete placed on the fast track by the Greek Government after months of wrangling.

ENORMOUS STEP: Duncan Wilson said the value of the project has been valued at £80m. Picture: Colin Templeton

The travel company, which employs around 150 people at its Glasgow headquarters, had hoped to get into the fast track scheme in March but the political upheaval in Greece scuppered that hope.

The project is pencilled in to have more than 1900 beds across a number of upmarket hotels plus leisure, sports and cultural facilities.
