ANDREW Muirhead has won a contract believed to be worth £1 million to provide leather for seats on 200 FirstGroup buses.
The Glasgow company, which employs around 80 people, is better known as a supplier to the aviation industry where customers include Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.
Sales director Archie Browning said: "FirstGroup clearly has a very exacting supplier selection process, which is very gratifying to have come through successfully with a large order like this.
"First did not want to compromise on luxury and comfort for its rapidly growing number of passengers, and also demanded the very highest of environmental, safety and technical standards."
Andrew Muirhead is understood to be in the running for further contracts from FirstGroup.
