POOL and spa specialist Barr + Wray has won almost £500,000 of business in Indonesia including for a hotel which is hosting Miss World contestants.

The Renfrewshire company said its Hong Kong office had been awarded four contracts for developments on Bali.

The largest, worth around £335,000, is to supply and install new spa facilities at the Westin Nusa Dua Hotel on the southern coast of the island.

Engineers from the company will install facilities including salt saunas, steam baths, vitality pools and a UV filtration system to improve the water quality.

The whole hotel is being refurbished over the next few months and is due to host Miss World contestants in September.

Derek Barton, managing director at Barr + Wray Hong Kong, said: "It's tremendously heartening to win business in new markets and we are looking forward to delivering this spa. Visitors will be able to experience a luxurious spa journey with these new features."
