SCOTTISH eyewear company Occles is in talks with an unnamed US travel goods retailer over a licensing agreement.

The Edinburgh firm, which describes its goggle type products as eyeshades, recently launched in the US at the Travel Goods Show in Las Vegas.

The Occles wrap around a person's head and block out light although there is no connector over the nose as you would get in typical glasses or goggles. They are being pitched primarily for long distance travel and lying on beaches.

A crowdfunding drive last year saw around 500 people pledging money to be the first to receive the eyewear.
