OIL and gas tool procurement specialist GOT has gone into administration with the loss of 19 jobs.

Four employees at the Aberdeen company have been kept on to help administrators from KPMG see whether a sale of the business and assets is possible.

The company, set up in 1992, is said to have run into cashflow problems as a result of orders falling because of the decline in the oil price.

Blair Nimmo, from KPMG, said: We are seeing the impact of the oil price decline extend down the supply chain and our appointment is a clear example of the challenges the industry is currently facing.

"The group is well known in the sector and has a considerable order book from its client base which includes some global oil and European companies."
