Equipment rental firm Speedy Hire said it was trading in line with expectations after underlying revenues rose 5.3% in the six months to September 30.
In the UK, the figure was 3.2% higher than a year ago, helped by its focus on regulated industries and markets supporting infrastructure projects.
The international division reported a 77% rise, mainly due to growing sales in the oil and gas sector.
