Set-top box manufacturer Pace has agreed to a £1.4 billion takeover by US rival Arris.
At Pace's annual general meeting chairman Allan Leighton said the combined business offered growth above that which could be achieved by West Yorkshire-based firm alone. Mr Leighton said Pace had made a good start to the financial year, with growth ahead of the same point a year earlier.
