THE average profit per partner at accountancy giant PwC has risen two per cent from £711,000 to £722,000.

PwC said revenue grew five per cent from £2.69 billion to £2.81bn in the 12 months to June 30.

Its assurance arm was up six per cent to more than £1.02bn, tax by five per cent to £714m, deals grew three per cent to £580m and consulting increased four per cent to £495m.

The Scottish practice was said to have experienced double digit percentage growth as a result of improving economic conditions, greater deal activity and the benefit of additional audit client wins.

Total profit rose from £772m to £750m.
