Restaurant group revenues up 14%

Restaurant group Prezzo has reported a 14% rise in revenues for the 26 weeks to July 1 to £68.1 million.

The company, which has 194 restaurants including six in Scotland, reported a 4% increase in adjusted pre-tax profits to £7.6m.

Prezzo, which also owns the Mexican-themed Chimichanga chain, launched 12 new restaurants during the period, compared with seven in the first half last year, and expects to have opened 25 by the end of 2012.
