Sanmex is cleaning up as profits rise again

SANMEX International, the Scottish detergent, toiletries, and aerosol products manufacturer, achieved a further rise in profits in its last financial year as turnover continued to surge.

Owner and managing director Steven Groden cited heavy investment in the business, including the introduction this year of machinery to start manufacturing aerosol products which use compressed air rather than the traditional gases employed.

Highlighting the innovative nature of this move in the context of the UK private label, as opposed to major brand, aerosol product manufacturing market, Mr Groden said: "It makes the products a lot more environmentally friendly, and reduces the carbon footprint quite significantly as well."
