Scotgold losses double in last months of 2012

SCOTGOLD Resources, the exploration company seeking to mine gold in Argyll, has seen losses before tax more than double in the six months to the end of 2012, compared with the corresponding period in 2011.

The company, which is exploring the Cononish mine close to Tyndrum, reported a pre-tax loss of A$1.68 million (£1.15m) for the half-year ended December 31.

That compared to a loss of A$723,203 (£497,664) for the six months to December 31, 2011.
